APPA Anounces Featured Speaker for PWN Breakfast

American Pet Products Association (APPA) will have Shama Hyder as the featured speaker at the seventh annual Professional Women’s Network (PWN) Breakfast. This networking event is set to take place during Global Pet Expo at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 8 a.m., and will be co-hosted by the APPA Young Professionals (YP’s).
“Shama Hyder is recognized in the business world for her keynote presentations created specifically for business owners and working professionals,” said Marian Thielsen, APPA's associate vice president of sales and marketing, and a founding member of PWN. “Attendees can expect to gain valuable insight on how to adapt and succeed in a changing business landscape.”
In 2009, Hyder founded The Marketing Zen Group, a digital marketing agency with an emphasis on social media marketing. Hyder manages over 30 full-time team members, delivering social media and digital public relations services for clients that range from small businesses and nonprofit organizations to Fortune 500 companies. Hyder has also authored five books on digital marketing.
The PWN mission is to attract and engage women from the entire pet industry. PWN provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, and promotes social and career development activities that result in greater success for the industry as a whole. The APPA YP’s mission is to promote career path development of young professionals in the pet industry through networking opportunities.
The PWN breakfast is not open to the public, and Global Pet Expo attendees must wear their badges to attend. The event is sponsored by the PWN and YP’s, but membership is not a requirement for attendance.
