APPA Unveils New Membership Opportunity to Engage and Assist Pet Start-Ups

Published:

American Pet Products Association (APPA) created a new membership category, Right Start, to address the unique needs of newer companies entering the pet industry and connecting them with the resources they need to succeed.

The new membership program will provide emerging businesses with access to a wide range of member benefits, including APPA’s market research, public relations program, export-import solution center, government and regulatory affairs and education resources. While companies designated under Right Start are not eligible to participate at Global Pet Expo, the benefits are designed to help set them on the path to success, especially in the retail space and for exhibiting in the future.

“As the pet care community continues to evolve, more and more entrepreneurs are setting their sights on doing business in this industry,” said Steve King, CEO. “APPA recognizes our responsibility to encourage growth through innovation and that start-ups play an integral role in ensuring the pet industry remains vibrant.”
