Andis Accepting Scholarship Applications

Andis Company is accepting applications for its second annual Andis Groom Nation Scholarship to Animal Behavior College (ABC). The company will offer an enrollment scholarship to the school’s Certified Pet Grooming Program. This year’s scholarship recipient will receive the training needed to transform their passion into a profession, and jumpstart the next chapter of their career.

“At Andis, we believe proper education is the key to success,” said Bruce Bock, senior manager of corporate communications for Andis. “We are proud to continue our partnership with Animal Behavior College with another scholarship opportunity to support aspiring groomers who share our passion for animals and learning.”

“Since 1998, ABC has successfully offered vocational programs for animal lovers looking to turn their dreams of working with animals into reality,” said Steve Appelbaum, president of Animal Behavior College. “We are excited to partner with Andis, a company that clearly supports our vision.”

ABC offers tailored career programs throughout North America, and the Certified Pet Grooming Program provides students with a multi-sensory experience that combines hands-on training and mentorship through an online curriculum. Students gain a strong foundation of essential techniques, methods and gentle behaviors to enhance future grooming sessions and create a relaxed experience while working with pets. To aid in their professional development, students will also have access to a library of instructional videos and curated step-by-step tutorials from Andis Educators, as well as a 40-piece grooming toolkit, which includes professional-grade tools and products by Andis.

All applications will be completed via an online form at: www.andis.com/GroomNationScholarship. The deadline to submit all applications for the scholarship is August 31.
