Andis Company released Dog Grooming 101: A Beginner's Guide to Dog Grooming, a publication designed to teach the basic principles, theories and techniques of grooming. It is available free of charge on the brand’s new Andis Grooming College online education portal.

Dog Grooming 101 details the basics of grooming to quickly advance the clipper-cutting skills of students, aspiring pet professionals or pet parents looking to do touch-ups in between salon visits,” said Megan Mouser, manager of animal education for Andis. “This is just the first phase of our Andis Grooming College program, which will offer aspiring professionals the tools and resources to learn anytime, anywhere.”

The full-color, 56-page book is available in English and Spanish, and features basic grooming tutorials, step-by-step instructions, tool education and tips for proper maintenance. It also looks at the skills required to master key cutting techniques. This fall, a series of Dog Grooming 101 step-by-step companion videos will also be posted online.
