New England Aquarium Services to Host Fish Health Symposium

New England Aquarium Services, in partnership with the University of New England, will host the third-annual Ornamental Fish Health Symposium in August. The event will be held at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, Aug. 9–11.

 

The symposium is designed for aquarist from the trade, public, education and hobby community and will offer an advanced-level agenda on aquarium science, which includes training on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of fish diseases. In addition to fish health, the symposium will offer workshops on fish life-support systems and captive fish breeding.

 

The 2013 Symposium will feature presentations and labs from experts including Dr. Edward Noga, Dr. Julie Calvin, Dr. Myron Roth, Dr. Brent Whitaker, Barry Costa-Pierce, Robert Fenner, Soren Hansen, among others.
