World Pet Association Promotes and Welcomes New Hires

The World Pet Association (WPA) has hired and promoted multiple employees.

Ann Maria Silva, a six-year WPA employee, was promoted to consumer show manager. She has been charged with managing America's Family Pet Expo, a consumer show held in Costa Mesa, Calif., which draws 40,000 attendees.

Debra Spaulding, who has been part of the WPA staff for three years, was promoted to education development manager. She is responsible for coordinating the education programming and implementation of SuperZoo University, which will take place July 23–25 in Las Vegas, as well as coordinating all educational activities at WPA's new aquatics-only show, Aquatic Experience Expo, which will be held Nov. 15-17 in Chicago.

The WPA also welcomed the following new hires: Jams Keyston as director of sales and sponsorship, Shelly Armstrong as West Coast community outreach representative, Kim Corey as East Coast community outreach representative, Michelle Harris as sales and sponsorship manager, and Ruth Kaup as a database specialist.

"We are delighted to welcome these talented new members to the World Pet Association team," said WPA president Doug Poindexter. "We continue to add staff as a result of rapidly growing show schedule and SuperZoo presence."
