Jack's Pets Named Retailer of the Year

Jack's Pets has been named the 2014 Retailer of the Year by Pet Business magazine.

The Beavercreek, Ohio-based family owned and operated company, has 32 stores in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Jack's Pets, which was founded in 1950, was selected by the Pet Business Board of Editors and Industry Advisors based on its long and successful history in the Midwest, as well as a merchandising strategy that attracts consumers and keeps them coming back for years and years.

“Jack’s Pets was an easy pick this year, the members of our board told me,“ said Seth Mendelson, publisher and editorial director of Pet Business Magazine. “This is a chain that is making a difference in the Midwest by offering a unique merchandise mix and excellent customer service.

"All we keep hearing about is how devoted and talented the employee team at Jack’s is and how much of a difference they make with consumers. We are extremely excited to share this award with Scott Brenner and his entire team at Jack’s Pets. It is very deserved.”

Jack's Pets will be the subject of Pet Business' July cover story, and the magazine will host a reception to honor Brenner and his team during the upcoming SuperZoo trade show, which will be held July 22-24 in Las Vegas.
