BAYDOG Expands its Executive Team
The Chesapeake Bay Dog Company, maker of the BAYDOG brand of performance-oriented dog products, added Stephen Frolich to its executive team.
Frolich brings over 20 years of experience to BAYDOG, where his responsibilities will include developing new product lines, branding and marketing strategies, and opening new sales channels.
Frolich previously held the position of director at the Discovery Channel, where he launched hundreds of products under their family of brands, including Animal Planet, Discovery Kid’s and Crocodile Hunter. Frolich owned a pet retail/grooming business in Salisbury, Md., bringing direct industry experience to his new position.
“We are thrilled to have Stephen joining the BAYDOG team,” said Barton O’Brien, founder of the Chesapeake Bay Dog Company. “His unique background in product development, licensing and manufacturing will help us take our new product offerings to the next level. At BAYDOG, we are dedicated to supporting brick-and-mortar retailers, and that means building partnerships with individual store owners. Stephen has been on that side of the business, and he will be instrumental in growing our relationships with our retail partners.”
“BAYDOG would absolutely have been on my shelves,” said Frolich. “The brand has everything I looked for as a buyer. I like that the company is veteran owned, and the quality of the products is outstanding, especially given the affordable price point. Plus, having a 100 percent product guarantee takes away the risk from a retail perspective.”
The Chesapeake Bay Dog Company launched in 2018 and is headquartered in Annapolis, Md. It is 100 percent veteran-owned and offers a full line of performance-oriented dog accessories. All products are 100 percent guaranteed and can be found in over 450 stores nationally and in Canada.
