Because Animals Takes New Approach to Pet Food

Published:

Because Animals is a new pet food company focused on nutritious pet food made without meat. Not only are Because Animals products made without inflicting harm on farmed animals, they are also naturally free of antibiotics and growth-promoting steroids.

Founded by Shannon Falconer and Joshua Errett, the company makes products with a combination of marine and land-derived superfoods. Each premium ingredient is human-grade and carefully chosen to pack a nutritional punch by delivering vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

The company’s first product, Superfood Supplement, was released November 2017, and is available for dogs and cats. It contains a blend of seven different nutrient-rich seaweeds. The supplement also has antioxidant-dense fruit powders and an immune-boosting probiotic in order to promote shinier coats, improved digestion, robust immunity and metabolic health

The company’s next product will be released in 2018 and is a plant-based, protein-packed dog treat made with chickpeas, peanut butter, kelp and chia seeds. This product will be followed by the arrival of dog and cat foods, both made without animals, but packed with essential nutrients.
