Animal Supply Company Acquires PETNET

Published:

Animal Supply Company (ASC) has acquired Syracuse, N.Y.-based PETNET Distribution (PETNET). The acquisition will enable ASC to expand its service into the Northeast U.S. In addition, ASC will have full scale operations throughout the entire United States during 2015 through new distribution centers, which will be announced at a later date.

“We welcome the PETNET associates to the ASC team as our first step into the Northeast. The ability to provide service throughout all 50 states and the Caribbean strengthens our commitment to the independent pet retail channel.” said George Ristevski, CEO of Animal Supply Company.

“Our mission is not about growing larger; it is about delivering success locally through product line breadth and services that will make the independent pet retailer successful. Animal Supply Company’s value-added services, such as “PRISMTM” retail store merchandising and its automated ordering technology “Pet Supply LinkTM” also differentiate our customer service by providing tools to our customers for their sustainable growth,” Ristevski added.

PETNET will operate under the Animal Supply brand and will be a part of the newly formed Northeast region.
