Co-Op Pet Retail Group Plans 15th Anniversary Convention
NexPet, the national co-op group of independent pet retailers, will hold its 15th Anniversary National Convention and Manufacturer Mini-Show on March 3, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The conference, which is being held the day before Global Pet Expo, is only open to NexPet retail members, retailers stocking its private-label pet food and supporting vendors.
Retailing expert Phil Wrzesinski will give the keynote speech called “Pricing for Profit: How to Raise Prices and Sell More at the Same Time.” Dave Ratner, a well-known industry expert and founding member of NexPet, will present “What I Learned from the Titans of the Business World about Making Money,” based on his contacts with leaders of some of the world’s largest retailers.
Peer-to-peer roundtables on a number of different topics including: “What’s Making the Most Money in Dog and Cat Products and Marketing,” “Aquatics: How to Keep Making Money in 2015” and “What’s Working Best in Marketing, Social Media, Pricing & Store Policies” are also on the convention schedule.
After the education program, retailers can attend the Manufacturer Mini-Show where they can get one-on-one time with NexPet supporting vendors. The Mini-Show can save both members and vendors time at Global Pet Expo. NexPet provides additional incentives for members to buy at the Mini-Show.
