Lincoln Bark Supplies Treats for Reading Assistance Dogs

Published:

Lincoln Bark has become the official treat of SitStayRead, a Chicago non-profit organization that partners certified reading-assistance dogs to Chicago Public schools and inner-city community programs. SitStayRead helps improve reading fluency for children in grades one through four by allowing children to read aloud to dogs, which increases kids’ confidence.

Lincoln Bark will supply treats to every dog that participates in the program. “Part of Lincoln Bark’s core mission is to promote animal welfare and to give back to our community. We are honored and thrilled to partner with SitStayRead,” said Lincoln Bark’s president and founder, Bobbye Cochran. “These kid’s have fun improving their reading skills while building a trusting relationship with dogs.”

Chicago-based Lincoln Bark makes all-natural treats with chia seeds, a superfood with omega-3s and antioxidants. All of the company’s treats are made in the USA from 100-percent natural ingredients.
