Wellness Gives Delta Humane Society its Largest Pet Food Donation

Wellness Natural Pet Food donated more than 35,000 pounds of natural cat and dog food to California-based Delta Humane Society. The donation was through the company's WellPet Foundation.

The donation is the largest donation to the humane society, whose supply of pet food was set to run out in one month. The donation will enable the Delta Humane Society the ability to provide meals for pets in the shelter for almost a year.

“On behalf of the WellPet Foundation, we’re happy to donate Wellness Natural Pet Food to the pets of the Delta Humane Society," said Chanda Leary Coutu, senior manager, marketing communications, for WellPet. "We’re passionate about backing groups that are dedicated to the wellbeing of dogs and cats, and we support thousands of pets in need in communities across the country each year.”

Delta Humane Society director, Patrice Davidson added, “We cannot express the gratitude and kindness the WellPet Foundation has shown for the dogs and cats of the humane society. This donation of Wellness pet food will last our shelter close to a year and keep our pets happy and healthy, especially through the upcoming holidays, as we look to find them forever homes.”
