Dr. Elsey's Gives Back to Shelters

Dr. Elsey’s, a veterinarian-owned cat product brand, donated 30,680 bags of clean protein cat food to animal shelters in need through its Shelter Partners Program.

The program aims to help ease the transition from shelter to home for cats in need. Shelter kits are provided to 501(c)(3) shelters and rescue groups across the country. The kits provided to its shelter partners include Dr. Elsey’s Cat Attract Litter Additive and Litter Box Solutions Booklets with coupons.

Dr. Elsey’s cat food is a high-protein kibble, available in salmon or chicken, that naturally optimizes a cat’s appetite and body mass through simple, high-quality ingredients. Inspired by the protein levels found in natural prey, Dr. Elsey’s respects cat’s digestive systems as obligate carnivores and is made of biologically appropriate proteins. It helps promote a healthy, active lifestyle for all cats while maintaining an ideal weight and body mass.

“The Dr. Elsey’s brand has always been about pets, not profit,” said Gina Zaro, director of marketing. “It feels great to provide such a high-quality product to cats in need, and to shelters that work so hard to provide a loving environment for cats.”
