Dr. Katherine Kramer Joins True Leaf

True Leaf named Dr. Katherine Kramer, DVM, as founding chair of its Veterinary Advisory Board.

Dr. Kramer, a vocal advocate for the research and therapeutic use of cannabis for animals, is the medical director at the VCA-Canada Vancouver Animal Wellness Hospital and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 16 years.

Dr. Kramer’s study of cannabis is driven by the many successes her patients have had over the past six years.

“Dr. Kramer is a vital addition to our team and her recognized veterinary knowledge builds on our solid foundation of in-house integrative care, cannabis cultivation and marketing expertise,” said Darcy Bomford, founder and CEO of True Leaf. “Her experience with medicinal cannabis for pets will be integral to our product development process.”

Dr. Kramer will recruit veterinarians from around the world to join True Leaf as the company develops legal and safe medicinal cannabis products for pets.

Dr. Kramer is a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Canadian Association of Veterinary Cannabinoid Medicine.
