Elite Modernizes Printing and Packaging

Elite Printing and Packaging introduced ePODS, or Elite Print on Demand Solutions, developed to help eliminate waste, increase speed to market and improve company cash flow.

Elite developed machinery that can digitally print and apply any size label directly onto flexible packaging, which actually resembles print from an offset press.

“We saw these issues affecting nearly every pet food and treat company we partner with, and we figured there had to be a way to help them combat this challenge,” said Mike Sloan, president and owner. “So we conducted extensive research and ran many packaging trials to devise a method to digitally print a label for any size bag, and then seamlessly apply it to the front and back to make it look as though it was printed as offset.”

“This approach has proven to be very successful, and so we now own the equipment within our facility that meets the strict guidelines and certifications for major global pet food manufacturers,” said Beverly Sloan, chief operations officer and owner. “We are very proud to have developed a solution that helps companies meet these rigid market demands without breaking the bank. We have literally saved our clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in print and packaging costs. Plus it allows for greater flexibility and agility within the marketplace.”
