Family Pet Shows to Debut Morgantown Pet Expo

Family Pet Shows, the producer of the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley Pet Expos in Pennsylvania, is holding the first annual Morgantown Pet Expo. The show will take place March 24-25 at the Morgantown Center in Morgantown, Pa.

“We are so excited to be back in Berks County where we [previously] produced the Reading Pet Expo,” said show organizer Karen Garetano of Family Pet Shows. “Our Morgantown Pet Expo is featuring new animal attractions and acts perfect for the animal lover at any age. New to our shows this year is Lure Coursing and dogs love to fly around the course. It is big hit for spectators. We are happy to once again bring new entertainment, educational exhibits, exotic pets, local animal rescue groups and tons of shopping of new pet items to Morgantown.”

Pet entertaining acts and features include:

  • Dog Lovers Day Lure Course!
  • Rabbit Hopping, Guinea Pig Agility
  • TICA Championship Cat Show
  • Gail Mirabella and The Dynamo Dogs Variety Act
  • Rainforest Reptile Show
  • Butterfly Experience
  • PiggyVilla
  • Adoptable Pets

The show allows animal rescue groups that are official non-for-profit organizations to have a free space at the event in order to offer information and education on responsible pet ownership. Potential pet owners or those looking to add another pet to their family are encouraged to visit the Adoption Area at the expo.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own pets to enjoy the show; however they must be must leashed, well-behaved and up to date on vaccinations. Their owners must fill out a waiver upon arrival at the show. Attendees can also participate with their purebred dogs in the Parade of Breeds taking place on Saturday afternoon. To participate in the Parade of Breeds, attendees can call (631) 423-0620 or email to register.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The show is free for children under three.

Discounted tickets can also be purchased online. For more information about the Morgantown Pet Expo or to inquire about vendor space, go to or call (631) 423-0620
