Fresh Step Clean Paws litter was recognized as Product of the Year for 2019 in the litter category.

Product of the Year is a consumer-voted award for product innovation, where winners are determined by the votes of 40,000 consumers in a national representative survey conducted by Kantar.

“It is Fresh Step’s mission to make sure more cats, and their people feel welcome,” said Lauren May, associate director of marketing, Clorox Pet Products. “With a commitment to helping shelter cats find a forever home, Fresh Step discovered that litter box rejection, mess and smell are pain points of cat owners, and may contribute to fewer successful cat adoptions. Our new Clean Paws innovation is a way to remedy that issue.”

Fresh Step Clean Paws is Fresh Step’s first low-tracking litter. It also contains increased odor-fighting protection with the power of Febreze, leaving behind a fresh clean scent, backed by a 10-day odor control guarantee.

“Backed by the votes of over 40,000 everyday consumers, the distinctive Product of the Year logo helps shoppers identify the best new products in the supermarket, and saves them valuable time and money during the shopping experience,” said Mike Nolan, CEO of Product of the Year. “In an increasingly competitive and saturated marketplace, the Product of the Year seal of approval gives our winning products a powerful tool proven to increase product trial, consumer awareness, distribution and sales."

Based on the insight that 34 percent of consumers prefer litter with no scent, Fresh Step Clean Paws litter is now available in Unscented. Fresh Step Clean Paws low tracking litter can be found at grocery, pet specialty, mass merchandise and drug stores nationwide.
