Hagen Group Wins Best New Product Award At 2017 Global Pet Expo



The Catit Senses 2.0 line from the Hagen Group received a Best New Product Award from the Fear Free Initiative at 2017 Global Pet Expo (GPE). The toy, which captured top honors in the “Best New Product for Feline Enrichment” category, is an innovative modular system designed to stimulate all of a cat’s senses in order to keep the pet calm, occupied and happy.


The Fear Free awards are presented annually at GPE to commemorate products that reduce fear, anxiety and stress in pets. Developed by nationally renowned veterinarian Dr. Marty Becker, the Fear Free Initiative sends its team out on the GPE show floor for three days in search of products that enrich the lives and emotional wellbeing of dogs and cats.


Exemplifying Fear Free’s values, the multi-faceted Catit Senses system includes food puzzles, hidden spaces for catnip stashes, cozy sleep nooks, multi-flow water fountains and a variety of toys. The modularity of the system allows owners to configure the unit as their own “kitty theme park” to best cater to the needs and proclivities of their pet. It also makes the system perpetually entertaining to cats, as different components can be added or rotated to keep the toy fresh and interesting.
