Irish Dog Foods from Kildare, Ireland was named the winner for Ireland at this year’s European Business Awards.

The company also recently received a County Kildare Chamber International Trade Award and was named as a finalist for innovation in the Irish Exporter Association awards held last month.

Following a final face to face judging session, Irish Dog Foods was chosen out of over 150,000 businesses. In the independently judged competition, 2,753 businesses were named ‘Ones to Watch’ in July, and following a further detailed review, 363 companies were announced as ‘National Winners’ in September.

The company took home the award for Customer and Market Engagement in the grand final held at the exclusive Hilton Resort and Convention Centre in Warsaw, Poland. Over 500 business leaders from 33 countries from across Europe came together at the two-day event.

Irish Dog Foods is a pet food and treats manufacturer in own-label and branded products for customers across the globe. The company serves as a supplier to retailers, brands and the pet specialty market on a global scale.

“It’s an absolute honor to be a recipient of this award [and] the fact that it is on European level makes it very special,” said Liam Queally, managing director of Irish Dog Foods. “It’s a great achievement, and acknowledges the hard work, commitment and results by all the team over the past number of years.”
