Animal Supply Company Acquires Wilson Pet Supply

Animal Supply Company (ASC) has acquired Hanover, Ill.-based Wilson Pet Supply. The acquisition expands ASC's service throughout the Midwest with a focus in the Chicago area.

"Our mission is to deliver success to the independent pet retailer through product line breadth and services and by being local everywhere to meet our customer's needs," said George Ristevski, CEO of Animal Supply Company. "Wilson's tremendous success over the years, particularly in supplies distribution, will strengthen our product offering and commitment to the independent pet retail channel. We welcome Wilson Associates to the ASC team." 

After 41 years in the pet supply distribution business, Wilson chairman Jim Wilson, will be retiring. Mike Neylon will continue as president of Wilson Pet Supply and will be an integral part of the ASC management team and integration team.
