NASC Partners with PetHealthLive for Consumer Info Websites
The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) has entered a partnership with PetHealthLive to debut two websites for consumers on pet news, health tips and recall information for dogs and cats, pethealthlive.com, and horses, horsehealth.com. The websites will provide consumers with information on pet health and pet supplements, keeping visitors up-to-date on the latest news from experts.
The organization aims to reach consumers to help ensure confidence in the products they buy and provide credible information to animal owners. Not only does the NASC Quality Seal certify what is taking place behind the scenes during manufacturing, the council’s Preferred Supplier Program helps members use quality raw materials that come from trusted suppliers. NASC also buys and randomly tests products to make sure they meet label claim for ingredients.
The NASC Seal of Quality on an animal supplement is intended to give buyers and pet parents peace of mind that the products they are giving their furry friends have passed the NASC’s rigorous certification standards. As part of the certification, NASC verifies quality ingredients and production processes, continuous product and data monitoring, and allowable product claims.
Companies must successfully pass an on-site quality audit and comprehensive inspection before they are granted permission to display the NASC seal on their products, websites, product literature and advertisements. Use of the seal demonstrates that the supplement manufacturer has implemented the NASC requirements and is committed to the highest current standards of quality in the animal supplement industry. As a result, the NASC Seal of Quality is a mark of assurance that consumers are purchasing from a reputable animal supplement company.
