Pet Business: Tell us about the innovations that BISSELL has made in pet cleanup.
Chuck Martin: Since 2006, BISSELL has focused on creating cleaning and floor care products specifically for pet messes, including pet vacuums, pet carpet cleaners, pet steam cleaners and pet hair tools. These products are designed for the specific messes families with pets face, including stains and odors, pet shedding and accidents. The logical step was for BISSELL to move into cleaning the pet as well.

Further showing commitment to pets, in 2011, BISSELL established BISSELL Pet Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to supporting groups throughout the United States and Canada that are dedicated to helping reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues through pet adoption, spay/neuter programs, microchipping and foster care. Every purchase of a BISSELL pet product activates a BISSELL Pet Foundation donation.

BISSELL is committed to helping families adopt the sheltered pet the kids have always wanted by giving them the confidence that we will be there to help clean up the messes and now care for the pets in new and innovative ways.

PB: What are some of BISSELL’s top products for pet cleanup?
Martin: BISSELL BarkBath: Welcome to the next generation of dog-bathing. The BarkBath is a faster, easier and less messy way to bathe your four-legged family member. This portable bathing system allows you to bathe your pet practically anywhere and anytime with virtually no mess. Specially designed nozzles get beneath the fur and down to the skin to allow water and shampoo to wash the skin clean while soft suction pulls dirt and water away into a separate dirty water tank. The system works with any length of fur, and one tank of water will completely wash an 80-lb. dog, while the no-rinse shampoo formula leaves your dog’s coat feeling clean and fresh.

BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser: For pet lovers who could use an extra hand keeping up with fur balls, the Pet Hair Eraser will help tidy up after four-legged family members. The innovative tangle-free brush roll eliminates the inevitable hairball that forms in your vacuum, while the hands-free canister keeps you far away from the usual ‘yuck’ that comes with emptying it. Its SmartSeal Allergen System captures allergens and eliminates lingering odors with the power of Febreeze, while the edge-to-edge suction and specialized Pet Tools, including a LED-lighted crevice attachment and the TurboEraser, help remove embedded pet hair anywhere.

BISSELL SpotBot Carpet Cleaner: New pet owners can enjoy hands-free, permanent stain removal with just a push of a button with the BISSELL SpotBot Carpet Cleaner. The SpotBot has preset cleaning cycles that automatically spray, brush and remove both surface and tough pet stains and odors. Deep Reach technology gets the carpet cleaning formula deep into carpet fibers, while the unique Spiral Brushing helps lift the dirt and stains from the carpet. Other features, such as the hand-held hose and cleaning tool, are perfect for upholstery, stairs and auto interiors.

PB: Tell us about BISSELL’s AdoptBox and Paw it Forward Collection
