Matrix Partners Wins Award for Charlee Bear Packaging Redesign

Matrix Partners was a recipient of a 2019 Graphic Design USA award in the American Package Design Awards competition.

The company was awarded for a design they created on behalf of Charlee Bear, which invigorates a well-established brand with vibrant colors and whimsical fonts.

Graphic Design USA’s annual competition recognizes excellence in graphic design, along with the power of design to appeal to consumers at crucial moments. The organization believes that package design and related disciplines are increasingly significant factors in the buyer decision-making process.

“No one deserves this kind of recognition more than our wonderful creative team,” said Don Tomala, managing partner of Matrix Partners. “They have worked really hard on this package design, and we are so proud of what they have managed to accomplish for Charlee Bear’s rebranding.”

The packaging for Gott Pet Products’ lines of Charlee Bear dog treats was designed to create cohesion between the Charlee Bear Original and Charlee Bear Grain Free dog treat lines, while also featuring a window on the outside of the bags. Charlee Bear’s tagline is displayed prominently on the packaging, along with other key product information, such as “Made in the USA,” “Less than 3 calories per treat” and the individual treat flavors.
