PIJAC Hires New Director of Communications and Public Affairs



 

The Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (PIJAC) hired Dustin Siggins as director of communications and public affairs. He has a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a minor in communications from Plymouth State University.

In his role at PIJAC, he will work with reporters, editors, producers and others in the press to communicate PIJAC’s representation of the pet industry. Siggins will also play a leading role in PIJAC’s partnerships with pet advocates across the country.

“We’re excited to have an experienced journalist and public relations professional to enhance PIJAC’s proactive approach to the human-animal experience,” said PIJAC president Mike Bober. “Dustin’s diverse background in communications will be a valuable asset to PIJAC as we continue to engage legislators and advocates who care about the wellbeing of pets.”

Siggins previously worked as a reporter and commentator for numerous publications and was a public relations consultant. His work has been published by USA Today, The Huffington Post, Real Clear Policy, National Review Online and elsewhere, and he has appeared on dozens of radio and television programs. Siggins’ clients have received exposure at outlets such as Reuters, The Washington Post, Roll Call, The Washington Examiner, One America News and more.

“I’m excited to help legislators better understand PIJAC’s leadership in protecting pets, pet owners and the pet industry,” said Siggins.
