Pet Accessories Company Launches with Bright, Colorful Bed Collection

Lion + Wolf, a new company offering vibrant and modern pet accessories for dogs and cats, has released a collection of designer pet beds that feature bright colors, playful geometric prints and high-quality materials. The company was founded in Somerville, Mass., by textile designer Sarah Rowe, and all of its products are handmade in the USA.

Lion + Wolf's pet bed product features include canvas covers that are machine washable and dryable with a concealed heavy-duty zipper to deter chewing. The pillow insert is overstuffed with down-like polyester fiber and constructed with special compartments to prevent stuffing from shifting to the outer edges. The beds are available in four sizes and nine patterns and colors.

“Pet owners shouldn’t have to compromise style for function when it comes to choosing a pet bed. Our customers have an eye for detail and take pride in their thoughtfully decorated homes; they want their pet’s bed to complement their living space, not just be an eyesore hidden in the corner,” said Rowe. “When I first got a puppy a few years ago, I had trouble finding a dog bed with bright, quirky prints. I was underwhelmed by the plethora of neutral, boring dog beds available—so I set out to solve that problem, and Lion + Wolf was born.”

The pet bed covers are hand-sewn in a studio just outside Boston, and the company seeks to source materials domestically whenever possible, such as its zippers, which are manufactured in California.

“We are passionate about craftsmanship and celebrate the handmade,” Rowe said. "Lion + Wolf is dedicated to supporting other American businesses like ourselves.”
