Pet Boss Nation to Hold Camp Pet Boss Conference
Pet Boss Nation, a coaching and consulting agency for small pet business owners, announced its first annual Camp Pet Boss conference. The conference will take place April 30 – May 3, 2019 in Lake Delton, Wis.
Camp Pet Boss will give pet professionals from all over the country the opportunity to learn about marketing, sales and leadership, all while spending important bonding time with their pets and other industry professionals.
“According to a Dunn and Bradstreet survey reported in the Harvard Business Review, 90 percent of the small businesses that fail do so because of a lack of skills and knowledge on the part of the owner,” said Candace D’Agnolo, founder of Pet Boss Nation and lead business consultant. “Through guest speakers, breakout sessions, group work and individualize planning, campers will walk away from Camp Pet Boss with a roadmap that will help their business be even more successful!”
Camp Pet Boss will also facilitate bonding opportunities with dogs and other campers through activities like agility, yoga, hiking, canoeing, crafts, wine and beer tastings, paint your pet nights, and more. Ideal “Campers” are pet boutique and pet product retailers, doggy daycare and grooming salon owners, and even brand representatives. For three days and four nights, they will learn the systems and strategies that successful businesses use to scale, increase revenue and manage time effectively. Accommodations include cabin-like lodging, each with its own shower and bathroom. Campers can book single rooms or can share with up to three people. All dogs are welcome. Attendees without pets are also welcome and encouraged to join.
“I’m most excited about the moments when pet pros will have to stretch themselves, whether it’s tackling the rock-climbing wall, walking the high ropes course, or going LIVE on their social media profiles,” said D’Agnolo. “These experiences will challenge their courage, showing them it’s greater than their fears, allowing them to leave with a confidence to face any obstacle in their business.”
