Petmate Acquires GAMMA2

Petmate acquired GAMMA2, a manufacturer of airtight containers primarily used to store dry pet food. GAMMA2 is best-known for the Vittles Vault pet food container.

It adds to our goal to provide a one-stop shop for all pet product needs."

 

GAMMA2, was founded by Curt Leland and has corporate offices in Carlsbad, Calif., and manufacturing plants in Gardena, Calif. and Sweetwater, Tenn. Over the course of the next six months, Petmate will complete a full transition of the Carlsbad corporate office and its associated intellectual property to its corporate headquarters in Arlington, Texas. The Gardena and Sweetwater facilities will continue to manufacture and distribute the high-quality dry pet food storage containers.

 

GAMMA2 launched in 1989 with the introduction of the patented GAMMA Seal Lid that creates an airtight seal. The company's product line currently offers a diverse slate of nearly 30 pet and food storage products for in-home, outdoor and travel use.
