Phillips Pet Food & Supplies Offers New Brand for Retailers

Phillips Pet Food & Supplies will bring the Northwest Naturals brand to its Portland, Ore. distribution center, which serves Oregon and Washington, starting Feb. 1, 2019.

Northwest Naturals offers raw frozen and freeze-dried diets for dogs and cats. Its pet foods are made with high-pressure and minimal processing, and they are complete and balanced with nutritionally beneficial supplements such as vitamins, minerals and locally-sourced fruits and vegetables. Northwest Naturals is part of the family-owned Morasch Meats of Portland, which entered the pet industry in 2004 with the founding of Northwest Naturals.

“Phillips is proud to expand our partnership with Northwest Naturals, a brand with a rich history in quality meats and frozen products,” says Elizabeth Thibodeau, vice president, merchandising and marketing for Phillips Pet Food & Supplies. “Offering this brand to our Northwest retailers demonstrates Phillips’ commitment to the growing fresh and frozen category and to our retail customers, as they delight their consumers with a relevant and in-demand assortment of products.”

In 2018, Phillips expanded its fresh and frozen product distribution nationwide.
