Revisiting Retailer Excellence

A look back at some of the stand-out pet specialty retailers that were honored at last year's Global Pet Expo.

While there is so much to like about every edition of Global Pet Expo, one of my favorite elements of the show year after year is the Retailer Excellence Awards program that honors independent pet specialty stores in variety of categories, such as community service, marketing and store design. And this year's edition of Global Pet Expo, which will be held March 16-18 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., will be no exception.

As Pet Business and the Global Pet Expo organizers prepare to fete the stand-out retailers in the pet specialty marketplace, I thought it would be worthwhile to look back at last year's honorees, which we have been profiling throughout the year. I invite you to read through the profiles linked below to see what it takes to tabbed as one of the pet industry's elite, then come to Global Pet Expo to see who wins this year.
