Scott Pet Continues Partnership with Jack Hanna

Pork Chomps and Nutri Chomps expanded its multi-year partnership with celebrity spokesperson Jack Hanna. Both brands are owned by Scott Pet, which first partnered with Hanna in 2016. Introduced in 2006, Pork Chomps are made from expanded pork skin, and do not contain any rawhide. Nutri Chomps, rawhide-free chews that are vitamin- and mineral-enriched, were released in 2016.

“Initially Jack inspired us through his lifelong passion and commitment to educate people about animals,” said Mike Bassett, president and CEO of Scott Pet. “We quickly realized the unprecedented impact Jack Hanna had educating the public on the rawhide-free message and are excited to expand on the relationship.”

“A few years back our dog choked on a rawhide chew," said Hanna. "It was a scary moment for our family and one I will never forget. My wife, Suzi, and I were so excited to learn about Pork Chomps – a great rawhide alternative. It has been an honor to get to know the team at Scott Pet. They are a wonderful, family company looking to enrich the lives of pets.”

The multi-year partnership with Jack Hanna as the expert providing continued education on the importance of rawhide free treats kicked off September 2017 and will involve targeted marketing.
