Scratch Play Meow Debuts Toy and Grooming Panels
Scratch Play Meow expanded its existing line of ScratchLadder options with toy and grooming panels.
The new panels include Catnip Mouse Panel, a cedar panel with detachable, catnip-filled, felt mice; Cat Toy Wand Panel, a cedar panel with two detachable toy wands; and Grooming Panel, a cedar panel with three sisal bristle brushes for grooming. Replaceable mice and wands are available for purchase and each new panel provides cats a more interactive experience.
The original ScratchLadder debuted in January 2020 and featurs a four-rung design with interchangeable panels to provide any cat with variations of scratching surfaces they can enjoy. Panel options included wood, slotted wood, pile carpet, sisal carpet, velvet and cushion. It is handmade from high-quality materials and is produced by Pine Ridge Industries, a division of the Schenectady ARC.
“Any cat owner knows that no two cats are the same, and some can be quite picky,” said Jeff Goronkin, CEO and founder of Scratch Play Meow. “With our new panels, customers can further customize the ScratchLadder to an individual cats’ needs. The cat is still able to embrace their natural desire to scratch, while enjoying an engaging way to play.”
The Schenectady ARC is a chapter of The Arc, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Scratch Play Meow chose to work with Pine Ridge Industries as a way to quickly expand its manufacturing and order fulfillment operation while providing opportunities for the disabled community.
