Pet specialty retailers of all shapes and sizes have an opportunity to be recognized in front of their peers and the entire pet industry in this year's Retailer Excellence Awards program at Global Pet Expo (March 22-24 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.).

Created through a partnership between the show's organizers and Pet Business magazine—the exclusive publishing partner for Global Pet Expo—the Retailer Excellence Awards honor outstanding independent pet stores in categories such as Merchandising, Marketing, Customer Service, Store Design and Community Service. In addition, “Best Overall Retailer” awards will be given to one single-store retailer, one multi-unit retailer with 2-10 stores, and one multi-unit retailer with 10 or more stores that demonstrate excellence in all of the categories listed above.

A panel of industry experts, which includes members of the Pet Business and Global Pet Expo staffs, will judge the contest based on the information provided about the nominees. Nominations will be accepted from manufacturers, retailers, distributors and members of the press until Feb. 10, 2017. Submission forms can be found HERE.

The award winners will be announced at the Global Pet Expo Industry Breakfast on March 23, 2017 at 8:00 a.m.
