Strong growth in international markets has led The Company of Animals (COA) to receive the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the first time in the company’s history. Announced on the Queen of England’s birthday for the last 52 years, these awards are for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in four categories. The Queen’s Awards are selected by Her Majesty The Queen on the advice of the prime minister, who is assisted by an advisory committee that includes representatives from the British government, industry and commerce, and trade unions.

Winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category is a huge milestone for The Company of Animals and reflects the ongoing success and phenomenal growth by the business over the past six years, including an impressive $9.2 million dollar increase in international sales from 2011-2016. International trade now makes up 63 percent of The Company of Animals’ total sales.

“It is an absolute honor to receive such recognition as this,” said Vicky Benneworth, UK marketing manager for The Company of Animals. “We have been expanding internationally over a number of years and the Queen’s Award really pays credit to all the hard work and effort that our team has put in on a daily basis. It is our mission to continue to create behavior enhancing products to improve the relationship between people and their dogs all over the globe.”
