Tuffy's Pet Foods Creates Children's Storybook

Published:

Tuffy’s Pet Foods’ president, Charlie Nelson, created Adventures with Tuffy, a children’s storybook, to demonstrate the bond between kids and their pets.

“It occurred to me that there were many stories either about children or animals. Very few, if any, books spoke to the growing relationship between a child and their ‘furry family member,’” said Nelson.

Adventures with Tuffy follows the experiences a girl shares with her four-legged best friend. The book was written by Perham, Minn. resident Sue Sailer and illustrated by New York Mills, Minn. native Troy Becker.

A portion of the proceeds from every book sold will be donated to the Pinky Swear Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps families ease the financial and emotional burdens of pediatric cancer by providing basic needs support to kids with cancer and their families. It’s part of KLN Family Brands $1 million commitment to the Pinky Swear Foundation.

Adventures with Tuffy contains coupons for Nutrisource and Pure Vita Pet Food, and is available at local independent pet food specialty retailers across the country.
