WPA Invests In Sustainability for SuperZoo

Published:

World Pet Association (WPA) invested in The Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) to support retailers, brands, and manufacturers to help them meet increasing expectations for sustainable companies and products.

At this year’s SuperZoo, WPA and PSC will host a number of sustainability initiatives.

The Pet Sustainability Coalition’s sustainable business educational session for retailers, titled “Critical Sustainability Strategies for Retailers,” will focus on the recent shift in consumer demand and willingness to pay for values-aligned companies and products.

A back of house tour of Mandalay Bay’s waste sorting and solar energy production facility will offer registered guests the opportunity to view the waste sorting processes and see a birds-eye view of the Mandalay Bay solar system.

The Positive Impact product kiosk will premiere as a show-floor display for verified products of brands actively measuring and improving their environmental and social impact using PSC’s 3rd party sustainability assessment. The kiosk will educate retailers about the Positive Impact Community and how the participating brands drive positive impact for pets, people, and the planet.

WPA will also offer water refill stations throughout the show floor lounges and 2,000 reusable plant-based water bottles to decrease exhibitor and attendee reliance on single use plastic water bottles.
