Wag Heaven Georgetown Hosts Week of Events for Grand Opening

Wag Heaven Pet Supplies and Self-Serve Dog Wash kicked off the opening of its Georgetown, TX location with a grand opening week of events.

Wag Heaven, along with the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce, and the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, came together to start the week with a ribbon cutting.

Throughout the week, a Kitten Adoption was hosted by the Georgetown Animal Shelter, there were sizeable discounts on pet food and supplies, and food manufacturers provided free pet food samples and nutritional advice.

Local celebrities and dignitaries stopped by, such as Mayor Dale Ross of Georgetown, the Small Business Administration’s national communications director of LGBT Outreach and author Mark Gibson, Tom and Ruth Olsen of the Sun City Pet Club and Pet Partners' Therapy Animal Program, and local four-legged celebrity friends, such as Georgetown Fire Department’s Golden Retriever mascot, Koda, Sun City Pet Club’s Brooklyn and Rascal, and Bronson, the English Bulldog fresh off his multi-award winning pet costume contest season.

“We feel so honored to have the support of these wonderful communities in and around Georgetown” said Jeremy Yuse, operations manager of Wag Heaven.

Pet food manufacturers and vendors added to the grand opening festivities, including Primal, Victor, Zignature, Earthborn, Natural Balance, and Instinct, as well as local pet vendors, like the Pet Butler and Cap Canine Training. Pet supplies distributor Animal Supply Company donated a 50" 4K HD Television to help with the fundraising efforts.

A second location is expected to open behind the Monument Café on Austin Avenue and Sixth Street in downtown Georgetown, TX.
