Wild One Partners with Sweetgreen

Wild One teamed up with Sweetgreen, a casual restaurant chain that makes salads and grain bowls, to create a vegetarian dog treat mix: Plants for Pups.

For Wild One’s first-ever collaboration, the companies made a mix that is 100 percent sweet potato and apple. All ingredients are locally sourced from farms in the U.S. - the non-GMO sweet potatoes from  Nature’s Way farms in Faison, N.C., and the farm fresh apples from Apple King in Yakima Valley, Wash. Wild One and Sweetgreen participate in thorough vetting processes, working with ethical farm partners to create quality treats.

“Sweetgreen’s food ethos and sourcing standards were a huge inspiration for us when creating our line of dog treats. Our brands are bringing our shared food philosophy to the dog treat industry, which is notorious for murky sourcing practices,” said Minali Chatani, Wild One’s co-founder and formerly Sweetgreen’s head of brand creative. “WildOne couldn’t think of a better partner to launch our first collaboration with.”

Plants for Pups will be available for a limited run, while supplies last, and can be purchased from Wild One’s website, Sweetgreen’s online shop and Sweetgreen’s The Tavern in Washington, DC. All Plants for Pups packaging is made from 100 percent recyclable materials.
