Wondercide Expands Team

Wondercide hired Dana Such as vice president of marketing and Mike Schmidt senior director of brand.

 

In honor of Wondercide’s 10th anniversary, the Austin, Texas-based company hopes the new hires will accelerate the company’s trajectory while helping more people discover its safe, effective products.

 

“Wondercide has never done things the traditional way, and its helped us stand out in the industry and grow rapidly,” said Stephanie Boone, founder and CEO of Wondercide. “The hires of Dana and Mike reinforce this mindset, as both bring expertise from outside of the pet industry and will lend an exciting new perspective to help us evolve and expand.”

 

As the new vice president of marketing, Such will be utilizing her experience in acquiring, engaging, retaining and monetizing consumer relationships to not only continue, but accelerate the double-digit growth Wondercide has seen year after year.

 

Such joins Wondercide from the membership-based travel company Hideaway Report, having previously managed audience development for Saga City Media and Texas Monthly. A Texas native, Such studied journalism and business at the University of Texas at Austin. She has lived in Austin for the past 14 years with her husband, cats Sophie and Milly and dog Duke.

 

“What we do matters, and I’m looking forward to growing our reach and engaging our loyal customer base,” said Such. “I’m leaning in with a personal mission to introduce these fantastic, safe solutions to conscientious consumers across the country.”

 

Schmidt will leverage his wealth of knowledge on brand strategies and consumer insights as the new senior director of brand.

 

Schmidt previously worked at Austin agency McGarrah Jessee, and has spent a decade working with several prominent brands, including Nordstrom, Cheerios and Frost Bank. Schmidt studied marketing and management at the University of Virginia, and received his master’s degree from the VCU Brandcenter. He has lived in Austin since 2014 with his wife, two young children and dog Boo Radley.

 

“The future of modern brand building is at businesses like Wondercide,” said Schmidt. “I can't wait to help more people connect with our brand and protect their pack, whether that be pets, families, communities or future generations.”

 

Such and Schmidt bring marketing experience and leadership to the Wondercide team, and are driven to maintaining its momentum. The team is dedicated to Wondercide’s mission of keeping pets and people safe and healthy with naturally effective products.
