ZIWI received New Zealand Exporter of the Year to the USA over $10 million at the 20th annual American Chamber DHL Express Success & Innovation Awards in Auckland, New Zealand.

“The United States was ZIWI’s first export market and remains the largest,” said Mary Helen Horn, executive director and president. “Our American-based team is proud to represent the ZIWI brand and our award-winning foods.”

Growth and expansion in international export markets driven by a loyal following for its unique air-dried pet food allowed the Mount Maunganui-based premium manufacturer to dive into the international marketplace.

“It is an honor for ZIWI to win the AmCham Exporter of the Year award,” said Richard Lawrence, ZIWI’s managing director. “This category was a tough one with extremely successful large exporters competing in the category. It is wonderful to be recognized for the dedication, passion, and commitment our team has made, especially in recent years.”
