Zuke’s Expands Into the Dog Food Category with New Ascent Line

Published:

Zuke’s, maker of natural pet treats, is entering the dog food category with the introduction of Zuke’s Ascent Natural Dog Food. Made in the USA with high-quality meat, fish or poultry and quick-dried vegetables and fruits, the food is designed to provide elevated nutrition to fuel dogs’ active lifestyles.

The Zuke’s Ascent lineup comes in two forms: Grain-Free Crunchy Blend and Adventure Tender Blend. The ingredients in both blends are preserved with the company’s Nature-Loc process, used to lock in the nutritional value of whole foods while maintaining their color, shape and high digestibility. The Grain-Free Crunchy Blend is a combination of protein-packed crunchy kibble mixed with Nature-Loc peas, cranberries, sweet potatoes and blueberries. Flavor varieties include chicken and lentil, lamb and pea, and pollock and chicken. The Adventure Tender Blend is full of high-protein meat, fish or poultry and Nature-Loc carrots, peas, cranberries, blueberries, cherries and mangoes. Recipes for this blend include duck and chickpea, wild boar and pea, and trout and sweet potato.

“At Zuke’s, we’re all about getting outside and exploring with our dogs. That’s why producing products that offer wholesome nutrition to fuel those adventures has always been a priority for us,” said Chris Meiering, Zuke’s director of innovation. “When creating Zuke’s Ascent Natural Dog Food, we set out to make meals that not only came from nature, but preserved the incredible nutrition that nature provides. The innovative Nature-Loc process, purposeful ingredients and a passion for our pets made that possible and then some.”

The Grain-Free Crunchy Blend will be available in 3-lb., 11-lb. and 21-lb. sizes, while the Adventure Tender Blend will be available in 3-lb. and 6-lb. sizes.
