Tim Taft has joined the Precision Pet Products team as vice president of major accounts. Taft has over 24 years of experience in the pet industry in a senior sales capacity at Kaytee, Doskocil Mfg., Dallas Mfg. and Old Mother Hubbard. He will be working out of his office in St. Paul, Minn.

Promotion at HealthPro Nutrition
HealthPro Nutrition has promoted Belen Martnez to head of Build Your Own Brand (BYOB) Customer Service & Custom Graphics. The in-house graphics department creates custom labeling for individual stores. Mrs. Martinez has been with BYOB since February 2009.

Dieter Hagen celebrates 50 Years at Hagen, Inc.
Dieter Hagen celebrated his 50th anniversary with Rolf C. Hagen, Inc. in late 2009. Working with his brothers, Rolf and Horst, Dieter has helped grow Rolf C. Hagen, Inc. from a birdseed business to one of the largest pet specialty companies in the world.

Natural Balance Hires Rockhill, Promotes Govea
Natural Balance Pet Foods, Inc. has hired Rick Rockhill to serve as senior vice president of its international and national divisions. In this role, Rockhill will oversee national account sales growth and strategy and guide the development of the international market. He brings an extensive background in the pet industry, having spent the past 13 years at PETCO, most recently as vice president of merchandise innovation.

Natural Balance has also promoted Heather Govea to senior vice president of its independent sales and corporate marketing divisions. In her new position, Govea, who is in her ninth year with the company, will continue to oversee all national independent sales growth, as well as lead the company’s corporate marketing efforts.

New Director of Operations at Canidae
Canidae All Natural Pet Foods has named Frank Hon as director of operations. Hon has 28 years of experience in the pet food industry, most recently as regional sales manager for a leading manufacturer. He will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to plan and develop programs that will improve service to distributors, retailers and customers.
