Planet Dog Challenges Retailers for Giving Contest

PORTLAND, Maine–Planet Dog has announced the 10 Years of Giving Retailer Challenge, a contest that will enable retailers to help the socially responsible pet industry leader raise more funds in support of canine service.

The retailer that sells the most Planet Dog products from Oct. 18–Dec. 12, will receive $250 worth of Planet Dog products. The winner will also get the opportunity to help the Planet Dog Foundation, Planet Dog’s non-profit, select the recipient of the 10 Years of Giving Grant Award.

Planet Dog donates two percent of every purchase to PDF to support canine service organizations and enable more dogs to help people in need. In the last 10 years, the PDF has contributed more than $750,000 in cash grants and in-kind donations to exemplary non-profits throughout the country.

“Thanks to our loyal retailers, we have been able to raise critical funds for canine service programs,” said Kristen Smith, the executive director of the Planet Dog Foundation. “We are grateful for their support and look forward to making an even more significant contribution in support of dogs helping people in need.”
