WIPIN Names Woman of the Year

Darleen Wheelington, the owner of Waggin' Tails in Camden, Ark., was named the first-ever Pet Industry Woman of Year at the Women in the Pet Industry Network's (WIPIN) The Start of Something Big! Conference & Awards Show. Wheelington also won the Advocate Award.

The Start of Something Big! Conference & Awards Show was held in Portland, Ore., Aug. 23-25. Awards were given in four other categories:

Solopreneur Award
Christina Massie of Club K9

Entrepreneur Award
Rose Hamilton of Pet360

Corporate Award
Patti Moran of Pet Sitters International
