Pumpkins, hot dogs and devils may have been among the most popular pet costumes this season, but those getups don’t hold a candle to an English Bulldog dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy, the English Bulldog from Bedford, Texas, won the coveted $10,000 grand prize in PetSmart’s annual Monster Cute Photo Contest, powered by Greenies. Dorothy, who was also dubbed the winner of the cutest category, snagged a year’s supply of Greenie’s Dental Chews and a PetSmart treat bag filled with Halloween toys.

Three pups took home $500 PetSmart gift cards in three other categories. The winners are:

Funniest: Miley, a San Diego dog, dressed as Muttley Cyrus

Spookiest: Chico, a Chihuahua from Apache Junction, Ariz., dressed as Count Dracula

Craziest Critter (for small pets, birds, reptiles): Jerri, a long-haired guinea pig from Round Rock, Texas, dress as a white widow rising from the grave

Almost 54,000 public votes were cast, and the contest winners were selected from nearly 13,000 entries—proving that Halloween costume contests are a perfect fit for pet specialty retailers.
