Pet Sitters International Revamps Annual Conference
December 6, 2013

Pet Sitters International (PSI) has revamped its annual conference. The 2014 event will featured a new name, logo and mission. Formerly PSI's Quest for Excellence Convention, it will now be called Pet Sitter World Educational Conference and Expo. It will be held Sept. 12-15 in Indianapolis.

"PSI hosted the first-ever annual conference for professional pet sitters in 1995, and our conference and contest offerings have evolved over the years to best meet the needs of our pet-sitting attendees," said PSI founder and president Patti Moran. "With this most recent change, PSI has revamped its annual conference to ensure professional pet sitters have access to the education and networking they need to thrive in the rapidly growing pet-sitting industry."

The conference's new mission is to provide professional pet sitters with face-to-face community building opportunities, the latest in pet-sitting industry research and informative sessions that highlight pet-sitter best businesses practices and the most up-to-date pet-health and pet-care information. The conference's updated format includes a mix of general sessions, panel discussions, break out sessions and optional workshops, as well as an expanded exhibitor's area.

Speakers at the 2014 event include Moran, author of Pet Sitting for Profit; author, speaker and pet detective, Kat Albrecht; Andrea Fischetti, managing director for Chicago Pet Video; and pet first aid instructor and author Denise Fleck.

Geriatric pet care, pet loss and grief counseling, preventing the transmission of disease between pets and other pets and people, and canine and feline behavior issues are topics that will be covered at the 2014 conference.
