Miller Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of farm, ranch and pet products, has acquired Allied Precision Industries (API).
The acquisition broadens and strengthens the product offerings of Miller's farm, ranch and pet categories, providing customers with an opportunity to efficiently source API products along with the full Miller product offering. Miller will continue to market acquired products under the API brand.
"We are excited about the purchase of API and look forward to the additional growth opportunities it will bring Miller and our distributor and retail partners," said Dan Ferrise, CEO of Miller. "This acquisition supports our goal of continued healthy growth and further strengthens our commitment to U.S. manufacturing."
Miller will move production, inventory, ordering, shipping and pickup operations to its facility in Glencoe, Minn., as well as its sister company Plastech Corporation's facilities in Rush City, Minn.
"With the addition of these product lines, we expect to extend job offers to some API employees for relocation to our Glencoe, Minn., facility, and we are excited to welcome them to the Miller team," Ferrise said. "Overall, we expect to add up to 30 new jobs as a result of this acquisition."
