Cycle Dog has opened a new factory showroom in Portland, Ore. Hand-sewn products will be produced in the new facility using post-consumer recycled materials, many sourced locally.
Cycle Dog has grown to over 1,500 retailers in the U.S., Canada and Europe, since it was founded in 2009. With this growth, Cycle Dog has moved its sewing operations to a larger building in Portland's NW 23rd shopping district, which will house both the showroom and sewing lines. Besides the added factory space, the showroom will allow the company to showcase its full line of post-consumer recycled products.
"We want to create a unique environment where people can see what Cycle Dog is all about," said Lanette Fidrych, president of Cycle Dog. "This will be more of an experience than a pet store."
The showroom will feature a 600-square-foot field turf area where dogs and their owners can interactively test drive Cycle Dog's newest toys. The showroom will also have a Custom Bar, giving customers the opportunity to create custom-fitted collars, leashes and harness for their dogs tailored by fit, pattern and stitching details.
