Fluff & Tuff Donates to Rescue Group
January 29, 2014
Fluff & Tuff donated 100-percent of the profits from the sale of its first-annual Holiday Charity toy to Peace and Paws Dog Rescue, a New Hampshire-based, all-volunteer rescue organization with a mission to find permanent homes for dogs in areas with high-kill shelters.

"The response and support from our family of retailers—many of whom had never heard of Peace and Paws Dog Rescue—and their customers was overwhelming," said Ellen Lawson, owner of Fluff & Tuff. "We can't thank them enough for making our first-annual charity toy a success."

Peace and Paws works with rescue groups—mainly in Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, Mississippi and Alabama—to identify dogs, which are adopted or placed in foster homes until adopted.

"As a small company, it was important for us to choose a smaller organization—an organization that might not be visible on the national scene—where our donation would make more of an impact for them," Lawson said. "Peace and Paws was chosen because of their excellent management, core philosophy, and plan for use of our contribution.”
