As the editor in chief of Pet Business, the exclusive publishing partner of Global Pet Expo (March 12-14 in Orlando, Fla.), each year I have the pleasure of sitting down with the show organizers to conduct pre-show interviews that have always proven to be insightful about not only the upcoming even, but also the overall state of the pet care category. After conducting this year’s round of interviews, I am happy to report that things are looking good for both the show and the industry overall.
The 2014 Global Pet Expo, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, is shaping up to be biggest yet, with more exhibitors, booth space and product introductions than ever before. In addition, based on pre-show registration, show organizers are expecting this edition of the show to break previous buyer-attendance records.
Of course, this is good news for the event, but it is also indicative of a strong and growing industry. And when you also consider that vendors are reportedly planning bigger, more elaborate exhibits than we’ve seen at any pet industry trade show over the past few years, it looks like this year is shaping up to be a great one for Global Pet Expo and the rest of the pet industry.
